P.A.T.H. is a graphic facilitation process, which captures the vision and goals for a desirable future, for an individual, family, or for a group, together with ways to plan direct action. Whilst this is a very successful tool when planning for an individual, it is also a good tool for groups. They can articulate their objectives and aspirations in order to ensure agreement and mutual values.
P.A.T.H. uses graphics where possible to bring it to life and it then becomes a visual recording of the dreams and goals of the pathfinder. This helps the pathfinder and those who support them to remain focused on their goals.
People who know the pathfinder well and are committed to a positive future are invited to attend. This may be parents, friends, siblings, relations, neighbours, teachers, counsellors, Elders and other community members are invited to attend the P.A.T.H.
P.A.T.H. is a tool that strengthens the concept of inclusion. It is designed to help people build inclusive communities, organisations and people. P.A.T.H. is daring and action oriented, it allows people to see graphically where they want to move into the future and take real steps to get there.
There are two facilitators to assist the pathfinder. One who guides the process and the other is the graphic recorder, who captures the pathfinder’s hopes and dreams on paper, with a focus on images.
